Wheat Upma Iddlies

1 cup wheat rava
2tbsp ghee
1tsp fennal seeds
1tbsp chanan daal
few curry leaves
1tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 dried chillies
2 shallots chopped finely
1 cup curd mixed with 1/2 cup warm water
a pinch of hing powder
salt to taste
1 cup thosai batter

For the stuffing: Optional
1/4 cup chopped shallots
1/4tsp mustard seeds
1/4tsp cumin seeds
1/2tsp chili powder
salt to taste

Preparation Methods:

Heat the ghee in a wok and fry the wheat rava until fragrant making sure that u don't burnt them-keep aside. In same wok add 2tsp oil and roast all the remaining ingredients expect the curd. Once they they have cooled transfer them to a blender with the roasted wheat rave and curd. Grind to a smooth paste. Add warm water if the mixture is thick. Mix the paste with the dosai batter -grease the plates and pour the batter and steam. If you like to add the stuffing- heat 2tsp oil in wok, once heat add mustard and cumin.
