Herbed Pizza Wheels

Herbed Pizza Wheels
Cooking is not only the passion of my life..books too.I always like the company of a good book. Reading has always help me to relax my mind as well as a -all time favorite but now cannot find time to spare for them:( I like to read Nancy Drew's Novel very much..still nuts abt them but now I feel that I'm kinda of too old to read them :)) I like reading as helps me to forget abt myself. Hot favorite of Sidney Sheldon and Danielle Steel collection too. I fall in love with Sidney Sheldon's first book (if i remember correctly) was the Naked Face and the last book I read was "If Tomorrow Comes- plot abt a psychiatrist doc being targeted by some unknown killer...hoping to catch up with these two authors' collection if time permits. After nagging my hubby numerous time I finally got my library card at the Plano Public Library last Sunday. As I first time there we were allowed to borrow only five books.

One of the book I borrowed was "The Essential Appetizers Cookbook" published by Anne Wilson of Whitecap Books of USA and Canada. A range of different type of treats to entertained a large group of people. My recipe was inspired by the original post of Ham and Pineapple Pizza Wheels. I have made the vegertrain version of the recipes with basil ,chipotle onions and thyme.

Ingredients
Serving Size: 16 pieces

2 cups self-raising flour
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup milk
4tbsp spicy tomato paste
2tbsp chopped basil leave
1tbsp chopped thyme
1/4 cup chopped chipotle onions
1/4 cup chopped green bell peppers
2tbsp finely chopped parsley
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup grated cheddar

Preparation Methods:
Preheat the oven to 350 and brush baking tray with oil. Sift the flour and add butter and rub into the flour with your fingertips, until the mixture resemble fine breadcrumbs.Make a well add the milk and mix until a smooth dough is formed.Roll out the dough into the tray in rectangular shape. Spread the tomato paste evenly. Mixed all the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Spread them evenly over the tomato paste. Roll up the dough from the long side and cut each roll evenly.Arrange them on the tray and bake for 20minutes or until golden. Serve warm with any choice of dips if you like.
