1 cup moong dal
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ginger-garlic-green chili paste
few sprig of curry leaves
1/4 cup well beaten fresh curd
a pinch of hing powder
1 cup dosai batter
salt to taste
Preparation Methods:
Roast the dal till the raw smell disappears. Soak the dal for an hour.Grind the dal along with all the ingredients expect the dosai batter and the required quantity of water into a thick batter. Mix the grind batter with the dosai batter and leave overnight.Grease the iddly plate with oil and then pour a big spoonful of the batter. Steam cook for 15-20 minutes till they are done..Always let the iddly to cool for few minutes before you take them out. They will be soft and fluffy. Enjoy these soft fluffy iddlies with sambar.
