Green Capsicum Masala


Serving Size:4

3 green capsicum
1 red onion chopped
1tbsp ginger garlic paste
10 curry leaves
1/2 t cumin seeds
1tsp mustard seeds
1 green chili, slit lengthwise
2tbsp tomato paste
1/2tsp chili powder
1/2tsp ground coriander
1/2tsp turmeric powder
1tsp gramal masala
1tbsp chicken curry powder
chopped coriander leaves
salt to taste

Preparation Methods:
Heat the oil in a large saucepan over a medium heat. Add the curry leaves, cumin seeds,mustard seeds and once the mixture starts to splutter add the onions and some salt- stir and cook until the onions browns.
Add the paste of garlic and ginger and mix well. Then add the green chili, tomato paste and all the spice powders fry til the raw smell are removed. Once the smell are removed add a couple spoons of warm water to loosen the mixture- bring to a boil, then added the chopped capsicum. Cook till then capsicum becomes tender. Adjust the level of salt and remove from flame. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or steamed white rice.
