French Onion soup With Garlic Toast

Actually I'm preparing this soup for the first time and it came out really yummy..Normally they use chicken or beef stock for the soup but I'm using the onions as their base for my version of French Onion Soup...Here's the steaming bowl of soup with crispy garlic toast..sit back and relax and enjoy the winter season...

French Onion Soup with Garlic Toast

Serving Size:4

Ingredients

2 cups large yellow onions thinly sliced
3tbsp pepper powder
1tbsp garlic powder
2tbsp Mrs Dash seasoning blend
1/4cup red wine
1tbsp minced garlic
1tbsp all purpose flour
4tbsp butter
1 cup of water

Preparation Method:
In a non-stick pan,add 2tbsp of butter. Once the butter is melted add 1 cup of onions with salt 1/2tsp of minced garlic.1/2 garlic powder,1tbsp of pepper powder and 1tbsp Mrs Dash seasoning blend.Saute the onion well and add 1tbsp of all purpose flour and 1 cup of water. Chicken Briyani

Chicken briyani every one's favourite..Various preparation methods are found in enjoying this yummy chicken recipe. I'm sharing my mother-in-laws recipe here. She uses Seeraga Samba Rice to prepare but I cannot find the rice in my Indian store so I'm using normal basmati rice for this recipe. A lot of patience is normally needed to prepare tasty briyani which I don't have sometimes..anyway get your pans and pots ready to cook....

Chicken Briyani

Serving Size:4
Ingredients

Grinding Masala:
2tbsp ginger garlic paste
6 cloves
4 cardamon pods
1tsp fennel seed
6 shallots
1 cinnamon stick
1tsp coriander powder
1tsp chillie powder
1/4tsp turmeric powder
1/4tsp garam masala
1/4 briyani masala
1/4tsp poppy seeds
1/4tsp nutmeg powder
1tsp salt
1/4 cup warm water

Grind all the above mentioned ingredients to a smooth paste...it should be very fine and keep aside.

Marinate for the chicken:
1lb boneless chicken breast or a whole chicken(your choice) I'm using boneless chicken breast

Type 6: Onion Dosai
Sprinke a handful of finely chopped onion onto the batter and tap to ensure that the onions are struck to the batter properly...Crispy Onion is ready to your plate...

Type 7: Masala Dosai
Coat a frying pan with 2tbsp of oil,add mustard seeds,chopped onion and tomato,1/4tsp of turmeric,chilli and garam masala powder with 1 cup of boiled mashed potatoes..Fry well and scope one big spoon full of the masala on the batter.


Type 8: Paper Dosai
Spread the dosai batter very thinly onto the tawa like a paper..or you can scrap out the batter from the dosai to prepare.


Type 9: Ragi Dosai
This dosai is prepare with ragi flour and some spices. In blender add 3garlic cloves,small ginger,5 curry leaves,1/2tsp cumin seed and3tbsp of warm water. Blend it into a very fine paste. In bowl add 1/2 cup of ragi flour and mix it with water like u do for iddly batter. Then mix ragi mixture with dasai batter. Make dosaai as usual.
