Kuzhi Paniyaram

Kuzhi Paniyaram

A very easy recipe from Tamil Nadu prepared with leftover dosai batter with onions and vegetable of one's choice in a paniyaram skillet which is just like the muffin pans..Various ways are there to preapre this simple yet tasty recipe and here's my version of Kuzhi Paniyaram. I'm using Moogal daal dosai batter for my recipe. Well I just add 1/2 cup moong daal with 2cups rice and 1 cup urad daal for my dosai recipe.

Serving Size:3

1 cup bowl moong daal dosai batter
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
2 green chillies minced finely
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
1/4tsp hing powder
salt to taste

Preparation Methods:

Mix all the ingredients with the batter and keep aside. Heat the paniyaram skillet on a medium flame-brush the skillet with oil and pour a spoonful of the batter.

When the side starts to crisp turn the paniyaram over to the other side and let cook.

Check whether it's cooked by inserting a toothpick and it will come clean. Remove from flame and sever hot with any chutney of your choice or even sambar or iddly podi.
