Tomato rice

Dry Roast
1tbsp coriander seeds
1tbsp channa dal
1tsp sesame seeds
1/3tsp fenugreek seeds
1 dried chillie

Dry roast all the ingredients expect fenugreek seed,add the fenugreek seed once the other ingredients have roasted for few minutes. Cool the mixture,grind them into a thick paste by adding 1tbsp of water. Keep aside

2 cups of Basmati rice
3 riped tomatoes cubed
1 onion chopped3
whole green chillies
1/4tsp turmeric powder
1/4tsp garam masalaa
pinch of asafoetids
5 curry leaves
3 cloves1 bay
1cinnamon stick
,star asie
3 cardamon
1tsp mustard seed
1tsp urad dal
1tsp channa dal
1/2tsp cumin seed
salt to taste
4tbsp of ghee

Preparation Method:
In a wok, heat 4tbsp of ghee, add mustard seeds once cracked add mustard,curry leaves,cumin,clove,cinnamon stick,cardamon,star asie,channa dal,urad and fry til fragent. Add the onions once cooked add the tomatoes green chillies,asafoetids,tumeric powder,salt and gram masala. Add the basmati rice and grinded paste..fry for a while,then add 4 1/2 cup of water.Once it starts to boil transfer the mixture to rice cooker and cook.
