During holidays we can live our life as we want. There are no rules for getting up in the morning and going to school, coming back home, having lunch, playing for a short while and then completing the home work. as sleep is necessary for our body similarly holidays are important for relaxation and change – they provide relief from the monotony of our daily routine. They are important for our mental and emotional well being. To be frank we came to Dallas to enjoy my kids summer with my hubby who is stationed for a short project and now here we are - Back to Dallas once again!!
When we return back to India for good I never image that we will back again. The kids were young when I return back and don't really have clear vision of how it was like here in Dallas.A few minutes before we landed at the airport, I looked at the screen in front of me and it showed ‘33°C’, As the plane began to slow and turn into terminal, I could hear people around me start to…

Sambal Fried Rice ( Malaysia Style)

Yeah believe me it's spicy and yummy but there will be no tears !!! The fragrance is so inviting and beckons you to follow the scents dig in to explore the notch of spicyness. Here's a brilliant and addictive way to use up leftovers that comes together in about 20 minutes. It can accommodate practically any vegetable languishing in your refrigerator, and adding leftover cooked chicken, shrimp or tofu or vegetables isn't a bad idea either.
This nasi goreng is a pretty simple, but quite a delicious and satisfying dish.  It takes a Chinese classic and spices it up a little bit.  The magic of this Malaysian-style fried rice lies in the flavorful base, a spice paste of chiles, garlic and shallots.  Leftover rice usually works best as it is drier and fries up better. Here is my version of this classic dish – not that I have any claim to being an authority on what is “authentic” Malaysian food. I am an authority, however, on what is super incredib…

When was the last time you were so excited about something that you couldn't sleep because all you wanted to do was tell the world everything about the incredible experience you just had? That was me last night. I just had my own domain for my blog " Taste of Saras" and mind was screaming -"What are you waiting for ??? Start your cooking sphere again lady!!!".Haha my mind can be hyper like this once in a while 🤣
As I have mentioned in my earlier post- the climate is pretty unpredictable these days. I was feeling very gloomy and disturbed as I was sipping my coffee. A quick flash capture my mind and it's being quite a long time since I baked something
I was actually forced into baking..haha..it was in secondary school back home in Asia and Home Economics was a compulsory subject for the first two year. There was no way around it and soon I started cooking and baking. I had my hands on baking for the first ti…

Panipuri

When the gentle wind knocks at every corner of my apartment and drags each one of us curling back to our comfort nest- a likely indication telling me to prepare something special to be whipped up in the kitchen. A perfect snack to enjoy - good food and warmth with the touch of friendly hand to grab something and pop into the mouth. What else "Panipuri" - loved by my family members.

As all know Panipuri -This popular street food doesn’t need any introduction! Potato, onion, chickpeas, sweetchutney stuffed crispy puri drenched in sour and spicy mint flavored water easily fills one’s mouth and takes taste buds on a journey of heaven and it is no wonder that it’s a popular street snack along the length and breadth of India. The crispy dough balls, the tangy spice water and the stuffing will make your tastebuds dance with joy and you will be seen enjoying Panipuris non-stop. Trust me it will happen
Preparing pani and masala for panipuri at home is not only a healthier way…
